Sandwich is located in Northern Illinois and is home to 7,421 residents and located approximately 60 miles west of Chicago. The people of Sandwich enjoy a high quality of life which is enhanced by its schools, churches, and service organizations.  The community is comprised of organizations & businesses that offer a variety of events open to the public.

Sandwich is the home to the Sandwich Fair which has been bringing visitors to our community since 1889 and is the oldest continuing county fair in Illinois.  There are many historical sites including the Sandwich Opera House and Stone Mill Historical Museum both located downtown Sandwich.  Our community also offers a destination for antique shopping  and home  to Sunday at Sandwich which offers  events May thru October.   Additionally the Sandwich Park District  offers multiple  parks and recreational opportunities.
